The Law and Impaired Driving (NEW LAWS)
Local police, advocates praise legislation
DURHAM -- Local police and safe driving advocates are applauding tough new drinking and driving legislation set to take effect this weekend. As of Aug. 1, drivers age 21 and under are prohibited from consuming any alcohol before getting behind the wheel. Young drivers found with a blood alcohol level above zero will receive an immediate 24-hour licence suspension. They could also face a 30-day suspension and fines of up to $500.

We are hosting a Fundraiser Dance to be held at the Port Whitby Marina on September 11th @ 8pm tickets will be available in advance and cost will be $20.00.

Embrace Life - Wear Your Seatbelts
This video does not have words but says it all about wearing your seat belt. A very powerful message considering there is no dialog only body language. Take note that your seat belt is your lifeline in most accidents. It could make the difference between life and death or very serious injuries.
